Guidelines:

¨       Must be at least 18 years old to enter. 

¨       Four qualifying rounds will be held: July 31 and August 27 at This Ol’ Place in Garvin MN, August 14 at Tracy Liquor Store (for this round only, contestants must

be at least 21) and on August 20 at the Tracy Eagles Club. Three contestants will be chosen from each qualifying round to sing in the final round which will be Friday, September 3 during Box Car Days in the beer tent.  Two alternates will be chosen.

¨       Two winners from each round will be chosen by the judges for the qualifying rounds.  The third winner will be chosen by the people’s vote.  (If the people’s choice chooses the same winners as the judges, it will go to the third selection of the vote.) 

¨       Registration begins at 8:30pm. Those interested in competing in a qualifying round must register before the first round begins at 9:30pm.

¨       There is a limit of 15 contestants per qualifying round.

¨       Past first place winners of the Box Car Days karaoke contests are not eligible to compete. 

¨       Karaoke professionals are not eligible to compete.

¨       First, second and third place winners will be determined exclusively by the judges for the final round.  The people’s choice winner will be determined separately from the judges.

¨       People who choose to vote for People’s Choice can buy a ticket for $1 each.

¨       Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners at the final round: first place - $400; second place - $200, and third place - $150.  Each winner will also receive an award. People’s Choice winner will receive $25 and an award.

5pm – Beer Garden opens in the Municipal Parking Lot in downtown Tracy.      

5-8pm - Build your own burger.  “Box Car Days Volunteer Night”

Saturday, September 4

Annual Labor Day “400 Open” Golf Tournament

9-hole, 4-person, best ball at Tracy Country Club.

Annual Softball Tournament

9am - Located at the softball complex in Industrial Park
on East Highway 14.

Kids Day in the Park

11:30am-1:30pm – Zoo Express; Vogel’s Exotic Animals, Petting Zoo and Pony Rides;  Kids can also view a fire truck, ambulance and police car.  Lunch will be available – served by the Tracy Women of Today.

 

Kiddie Parade

1pm – Registration, 1:30pm Line-up and Judging. 
Parade route is around Central Park.

     Categories: Cartoon Characters, Wheels, Favorite Singer and Miscellaneous.

 

Kids Karaoke Contest

            1pm – Registration; 2pm – Karaoke contest for kids ages 17 and under at Central Park (bring your own lawn chairs).  Age categories:  8 and under; 9-13; 14-17.

 

“Texas Hold ‘Em” Tournament

2pm – Tracy Eagles Club (154 Fourth Street).  First 40 people to register on this day will be seated.

 

Bean Bag Tournament

2pm – Registration; 3pm – Tournament.   Located next to the Beer Garden.

Dad’s Belgian Waffles

            9am-1pm – St  Mary’s Church Hall (Morgan and Sixth Streets).

 

Annual Softball Tournament

            9am - Located at the softball complex in Industrial Park on

Mud Volleyball Tournament

7:30am – Registration; 8:30am - Race starts – 5K Walk/Run, 10K Run, and Kids mile and ½ mile.  Race begins at Central Park.
